A little update

We are doing well, says our doctor: Silvan is growing, although a bit slower than the average, which is expected for kids that are not on formula (8.1kg, 68.5cm (height) and 46cm (head circumfernce). There are not only different growth curves for different countries, but also depending on if the bay gets formula or breastmilk.

Silvan is walking more and more, and apparently 4% of all kids (most of them boys) skip crawling and go write away to walking. He is getting more and more daring in going between places and following us around the house. I am so glad my prof. gave us some baby gates. I emptied the two lowest shelves of our book cases and filled them with things he can touch and look at. Our little laundry room is off limits for him and we just put a lot of things in there, that we don't want him to reach. On our baby proofing list is still finding locks for one of the cabinets with the good china and securing the cables. Apparently there are quite a few of accidents where kids pull down monitors from desks. Some things will just not be safe, but that's ok.

Our garden is doing great and I already got some chamomile and borage flowers for tea - so nice and fresh! Strawberries are still in season and are the No.1 fingerfood around here :)

And when I downloaded the photos I found another photo N took, while Silvan and I were asleep. He had yet another deadline coming up and was working (as always) last minute on it. We'll have watercress soup tonight and some panacotta with strawberries. I wish I'd figured out earlier how easy to make and how yummy panna cotta is :)
