We spent some time with my parents to overcome jetlags. Collecting blackberries on the way and the seeing the ripening chestnuts always resembles my hometown.

The weather was still warm enough for eating on the terrasse, playing with the Elwedritsche Brunnen and enjoying the busy market.

And then there was work to do: sorting out the boxes I had been able to store in my Grandma's cellar with stuff. Some things I was really glad to still find and bring/ship to US, other things just went straight into the dumpster. I am really glad, that I could have the chance to sort these things out myself and to say goodbye to some of my favorite stuffed animals.
Eating spaghetti icecream in between really helped us to keep going.

And then we we spent a nice evening BBQing in Speyer, lots of good food, a nice evening sun. Just the mosquitos at dusk made us flee the garden and relax in the living room.

And then finally we went to Frankfurt, so N could apply for a new visa. My mom came along and we explored Frankfurt's cemetry together. The rain didn't follow the weather forcast, so we all got soaked a bit, but the cemetry was beautiful. And so humangeous! We got a bit lost and ended up on the complete opposite site! A nice priest send us on our way back - a 20min (fast) walk.

In the afternoon we walked around Neustadt, taking the path from our wedding into town and just relaxing a bit.
