Our microwave is currently always unplugged. After finding plastic saws, hammers and other tools inside, we decided that's safest for now. Opening and closing the doors accompanied with "tue dsu" (tuer zu = door closed) is just so much fun. And if something drops, just put a hand on your head, make a sad face, say "oh nooooo" and someone might come and pick it up for you. And then, chilling , crossing the fingers and "peeee" (=peace).
