We decided to skip the turkey this year and instead spend the day on the cape, the weather forecast had been promising after yesterday's downpour, but when we arrived at the National Seashore it was freezing. Silvan was too cold on his bike and quickly decided to hide in the stroller. The wave's were huge, usually the beach is fairly wide at this part, and one can easily go for walks, but today, the waves eroded the shore and came crashing all the way to the grass again and again. For 2min the sun came out and we were impressed how high the sea spray reached. We knew it can go in hurricane conditions up to 500m up, but it is still impressive to see something similar in person.
Afterwards we went to Marconi beach, Silvan seemed sicklish and cuddled in the Kleinsmekker; nothing cures his mood and cold better then being carried for sometime by one of us. It was impressive to see from top now how the waves pounded the coast.
And here is the little guy now in a much better mood, fighting monsters with beach grass - so many faces:
Afterwards we went to a nearby Audubon Society and enjoyed yet another beautiful walk. The sun came out and so many birds kept us company. Too bad we our camera was full with photos at this point.
