No snow but freezing temperatures

We just had to go outside, even though the thermometer didn't rise above -18C that day - the ice on the creeks was beautiful. Silvan was impressed but also watchful (we had read a couple stories with children breaking into frozen lakes). It was so cold, Silvan didn't come out from the coat with daddy at all - they both said it was snuggly warm in there.
