Flammkuchen

Tomorrow is my 30th birthday. I am so exited about it. N and I plan on spending the following weekend in NYC! It is just too bad, that most of our friends are busy tomorrow... oh well.

Besides that tonight I made some Flammkuchen, usually it is made with bacon and onions, but I made a slightly sweet version, which I remember eating at French restaurant several years back. It was a wonderful fammily evening. We ordered so many Flammkuchen, one after the other after the other. Evertime one came out of the kitchen we shared it all and kept eating until we were all completely full. And then we had the apple-flammkuchen as dessert. It was a lot of fun.

This is my version of it:

200g Flour
2 Tb Oil
120ml Water
a pinch of salt

180g Sourcreme
2-3 Tb Eggnogg
2 Apples cored, peeled and cut in thin slices
some sugar and cinnamon
some Amaretto

Preheat the oven to 450-500F
Make a quick dough out of the flour, water, and salt. It should not be sticky. Roll the dough very fine, about 40cm diameter. Mix the sourcreme, eggnogg, some sugar and cinnamon and spread the mix on the dough. Spread the appleslices on the dough, add some more cinnamom and sugar. Bake for 20-25min. Sprinkle some Amaretto on it before serving.
