In Germany - Part VI

In the afternoon we visited the former UNESCO world heritage place "Elbwiesen". My brother lives within walking distance from the Blaue Wunder:


The next day we went into the Elbsandsteingebirge by train. I had always meant to come back, after being there with a sprained ankle long time back. It was Silvan's first train ride, so American! Luckily it only rained in the beginning, then the sky was gray and cloudy, but it only drizzled. Earlier heavy rainstorms had distroyed part of the path from Wehlen, after buying a hiking a hiking map, we made our way through the Hoellenground.


Up to the Bastei with the typical views of sandstone towers and trains along the Elbe:


On the way back we walked to the next town over along the Elbe, not over the Lilienstein to save time. Back in Dresden we were welcomed with a wonderful meal of tapas - so yammy:
