First, the sky is gray, and the rooftops are gray and the whole city is gray. (quoting Silvan's favorite snow book from the library, which I know almost by hard...).
Then, One snow flake.
We'll we did not only get one snowflake, but over a foot of heavy-wet snowflakes, and high winds, quite a few trees gave in under the weight. After shoveling snow for 2-3 hrs (thanks, husband), the universities were closed, the daycare open and the sun came out, N. and I went for a walk through town:

The view up and down the street with houses in the neighbourhood. Me running down the street and you can see a firetruck moving slowly up the street - they are digging all the fire hydrants...

It was beautiful, the snow contrasts so nicely and enhances the structures of buildings, trees, and seeds.
We are back behind our desks, working, programming, until next week, when the next snow is already predicted to come...
