And he grew again - 80cm and 10.2kg, feet (shoesize 6, and new shoes again) and head are still large. :-)
Last month he really pick up new words. We counted the words he's been using actively by himself without being prompted; a word he knows in English, German, Japanese and American Sign Language would count as one word. Nobuhiro had guessed he knew maybe 5-10 words, I thought 10-20; well, we got up to 67! And once in a while, we get a two word phrase as well, something like "paipai bitte" (please nurse) or "bett nenene" (bett schlafen) or "tetetetete opa" (skype opa). It's fun to watch him grow and learn.
Climbing has been a fun pastime as well, and books of course. He's also getting a little bit more independent with sleep. He usually wants to go to bed at night, so we brush teeth, change the diaper, turn on his Japanese Music CD, and kiss daddy and the birds good night and go to bed. Sometimes he needs a bit more time, but usually he's out pretty quickly.
Last week, I had been pretty tired one evening, and I was ready to go to bed myself, but Silvan wasn't. So he stroked my back and head and kept saying "nene-nene" - very sweet.
Or he pulls his crib sheet and blanket for daycare out of the closet and spread it on the carpet and laid himself down to try to go to bed.
Daycare is going great as well. He really loves going there. Even when he wakes up tired, we just have to say "today is a daycare day, let's get ready" and off he goes so happily, jumping (at least trying to), dancing, bringing jacket and shoes. It feels good to know that he is having a good time when we work.
And a last important thing - traktors: he is in love with them and talks about them all the time "krakrak".
