16 Months

The faces he makes just crack me up - here is a nice representative collection; it is so hard to choose. Too bad there is no sound, he giggles, screams, squeals, grunts, and jokes all the time.


16 months - 9.9kg (which means he gained quite a bit - 10Percentile), 78cm (half a cm more than a month ago - 25 percentile ), and still a big head (90 percentile), and big feet. He is learning more and more words it's hard to keep track, and some he forgets again, but here are some current favorites: decke for blanket and hat, nennne for sleep, no is a big one, bett/bed, juice, fuss for foot, chinchin for penis, eyes etc. It's a nice mix of the three languages so far. We are trying to find more Japanese and German Music to play to reinforce the minor languages, thank goodness there is youtube.

And I just had to add Silvan's current morning routine - he wakes up around 6-7am, usually before me, brings me my glasses (buebue for brille), then requests "buch" and we read an Ali Mitgutsch Wimmelbuch, we look for dogs and bellybuttons, the man that spits fire and the man that sings in the boat. It's a good way to start the day.
