Mystic Aquarium

Silvan has been reading books with us about different fish and marine mammals, and we thought it was time to return to Mystic aquarium. Thank goodness there are library passes to reduce to entrance fee of $29 per adult.

We started our day with the belugas. Silvan was so happy when "juno" made his circles and again and again "barked" at Silvan. We warmed up during the sea lion show, enjoyed our lunch and went straight to the penguins - we must have spent there 1.5-2hrs. Watching the little guys wait for food, and then being fed with squid for dessert. Silvan was truly fascinated and he loved hugging the penguin statue afterwards. To warm up again, we went back inside to look at turtles, fugu, lobsters, mono's and so much. It was a good and busy day. When leaving, Silvan asked "We fahren zoo?" ('wir fahren in den Zoo?') - next time maybe.
