To get a nice tree we decided to follow the American tradition and pick out a tree early. We went for a walk at a local tree farm and pick out our tree (with sparse brances, but I like it that way, so we can see the ornaments better).
We hurried home and made our way to the Narragansett Tree festival to listen to a story teller at the library and then to also ride a horse drawn carriage; which was free - Silvan was over the moon! He's been asking to ride a horse and/or carriage since with saw them near the Pantheon in Rome.
Then we waited for the tree lightning to start and walked along the beach. The boys kept singing Christmas songs (jingle bells) while exploring the beach, and danced later to the band music at the commons.
Silvan's feet were hurting so badly again that he was happier with Nogusa's slip on booties. The poor guy just has difficult feet to fit in shoes, plus some growing pains have been making his life difficult.
Afterwards we enjoyed dinner with friends at nearby restaurant.
