We concluded our trip with a ferry ride to Staten Island - the Statue of Liberty was still closed for visitors (because of Sandy).

What a fun visit it was. We brought our relatives to JFK airport and then took AMTRAK back home.
That same evening Nogusa took his first 10 independent steps! After being carried so much around through the city, we've got a little toddler in the family :-)
