The Acorn Experiment

My baby book by Largo had mentioned that a 12 month old can fill a jar with beads, but only a 18 month old child understands that it can tilt the jar to pour the beads out. Well, my dear husband thought Silvan is smarter than the 18month old. So we put Silvan to the test - filling a jar with acorns was no problem and kept him busy for quite some time. Getting the acorns out was a frustrating process - his fingers just did not fit in the jar. But by the end, he understood if he knocks the jar over some of the acorns come out, or even better, just ask your parents for help.
