The morning hours were already hot, and Bristol was getting way to busy for us, so we decided to visit a small Zoo. And it was great! Once we got in there was a Splash Zone - perfect for cooling down:
After getting soaking wet, we got to watch a playful otter, screeching lemurs, very cute and playful emu chicks, bubbles, being bats, and we got to feed the lamas.
They even had a dark house to see night active animals, and we saw two fennuc foxes running around.
Afterwards it was time for a nap, so we drove on the backroutes homeward and stopped at a wetland in Warren, where we caught more blue crabs, talked about the upcoming fireworks and got sidetracked talking about firetrucks. It's so easy to confuse feuerwerk and feuerwehr. Firetrucks are Silvan's all-time favorite car, besides the lawnmowers. Every walk we have to walk by the firestation and the firefighters know him and allow him to walk around the truck and peek inside.
It started to drizzle (and later it we got a good thunderstorm) and Silvan was dancing and singing in the meadow:
