Very busy

On February 1st Silvan was 100days old and because that was a Monday, we celebrated "okuisume" with our friends on Jan.31st. Okuisume is the celebration of the first meal of the baby. We skipped the rice corn part for Silvan and the instead the adults ate homemade ramen. And most importantly we touched Silvan's lips with a little rock, so his teeth would become strong and healthy :)

Too bad our camera ran out of battery that evening, so no pictures for that event.

Life has just been insanely busy, the upcoming conference and our quest for more results leads to me working all the time at odd hours - why not just start anthoder modeling run at 3am and read some papers, if I am up anyways, feeding the babe? I am really looking forward to a couple days of break after the conference :)

But in between we still find time to be a happy little family:

Silvan likes to sit propped up, and this box is a favorite. And then in the evenings he watches us cook dinner and sometimes falls asleep right then and there, before we got a chance to bring him to bed. His bunny is so easy to hold on to and the ears must be very yammy, and the schildkroetenbook "knistert" when he reads it.

Anyways, we are back to work - thinking about my research. It is fun to make progress and work so hard, but it gets kind of exhausting after a while ;) But so far so good.
