Portland OR

Wow - we made it to Portland and we had a full weekend of time off! Well, N. wasn't done with his presentation yet, but we still enjoyed a sunny weekend walking through the city. Because of the time lag and S waking up really early, we started our walk around town at 7.30 on a Saturday. Not much was open yet, but we found a little coffe place and fun stores.

Even more suprising it was spring already! So nice and mild and wonderful. We didn't need our New England winter jacket we had brought along!


Portland, is know as the city of roses. It should be the city of camelias. I don't think I've ever seen such beautiful and large camlia trees - full in bloom all over town.

In the evening we had some wiggle time in the hotel room - S was sooo fast and was loughing so hard. We had a good time.
