My paper was finally submitted and the tension fell off of my shoulders, it took a while to let go and settle in. And the news about my uncle in Germany were getting more and more serious. Also, we had decided to take Silvan out of daycare, once again the main teacher had left and we felt it was not a good place for him any longer. Plus, I had decided not to apply for a new position at this point. This transition plus the surrounding events made me feeling excited but also raw and vulnerable.
