We drove back to Rhode Island and finally went to a little beach that our neighbours had mentioned to us - so cute and lovely and peaceful! We'll definitely be back here this summer.
And finally the clambake at the beach with our friends:
clams, mussels, corn, lobster, sausages, onions and potatoes are boiled at the beach on the fire in salty beer - so yummy and messy and fun to eat, and set up. The fireworks were pretty cool, too - it was the first year for a long time, that fireworks were legal to be sold in RI.
