Midweek update

It was hot (32C) and muggy (95% humidity), but we survived by swimming, blowing fans and just wearing next to nothing. We couldn't even see the other side of the harbor at times! Silvan really enjoys to go swimming, playing with algae and shells, and we get to cool off.

Once the sun was shining, my guys headed outside equipped with hats and long sleeves.

We found a little beetle - N fed him with honey water and hopefully he will recover soon.

We've been reading more and more with Silvan, and as long as the stories are relatively short and there are lots of noises/voices and pictures, he really enjoys this quiet time. Here, N and S are reading a book called Sector 7 - no text, so it's perfect for our family. It is a cute story about a cloud taking a little boy from NYC to the cloud factory and how clouds have sometimes funny shapes.

And of course there is the 4th of July fair with lights and sounds and smells. We'll be escaping the Bristol craziness again and plan to go hiking and camping over the weekend. Silvan talks more and more - so many sounds and noises.

And we think, we found a daycare we like we'll still have to sleep over it, but the place was really nice and the teachers were really lovable! It's a 15min drive from here, and if we work with our schedules, we'll be able to start with 2 6hr days and go up to 3 6hr days by the end of the summer. It's the first place we really felt comfortable with in regards of philosophy, discipline, schedules etc. - they are also more pricey, but if either one of us drops him off late and the other one picks up early, we'll manage fine. We'll have to see how things will work out over the summer; there is always the option of changing places.
