We all arrived in the small town of Beaufort, NC. Besides it's prestiges Marine Campus and the quaint surroundings, it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere. The town itself is cute, food is good - deep fried and lots of crabs, and people talk with a heavy southern accent; almost always seemlingly polite.

Loading and unpacking the boat took about 2-3 days and then we took off into the ocean - no photos from the first 24hrs. The Gulf Stream was quite a gut-wrenching experience.
