A new year a new beginning. After a long hiatus, I decided to try to blog again. These are some impressions from our New Year's day:
waiting for the first sunrise - it was early and cold (-6 C), not unexpected....
We had to wait a little long for the sun to make it above the clouds. Nogusa was very impressed by the hole in the clouds and kept talking about it on and off during the day.
Ozouni - Japanese New Years Soup with Mochi.
First Walk of the New Year at South County Museum.
The Carriage impressed both children.
When bringing Nogusa to bed, he usually asks for a bedtime story, mostly it is the same story, where he and Silvan fly in a spaceship to the moon, then land in Florida to get some bananas as a snack and make their way back on a humpback whale. But this night, Nogusa requested a story with a horse carriage, that he and Silvan were riding with real horses - a pinto and a silver horse.
Our New Year's dinner - a whole red snapper - easy, yummy and fresh - the kids inhaled the fish and it was all gone quickly.
