Winter is finally here with subzero temperatures and strong winds - the snow is missing or just a dusting, but it is cold after a balmy Christmas. That means lots of rosy cheeks after outside walks and lots of bundling up.
The FORT. Silvan and his friends had been working everyday during the winter break on building an elaborate fort at the reed patch down the road. Right after breakfast they would run to find each other, barely stopping for a quick lunch and then disappearing again. Today school started again and Silvan is missing the everyday building and friendships.
Painting with Oil Pastels. Nogusa really enjoys textured painting.
Nogusa is drawing a "dead mouse" - he listens to the sound of the pen on the paper, plus some brotherly squabbles.
Silvan had asked for a movie about animals for Christmas, specifically something about Galapagos. He has been watching the BBC show during the last days with us and the topic is also in his drawings - here is a Galapagos turtle near a pond.
