Italy - Le Marche

We arrived in the late evening in our wonderful yellow house in the country near Portonovo. We woke up to a beautiful morning with a gorgeous view from the garden.

Soon after we headed into Portonuovo for some early breakfast

 Obaachan and Akira.

The water was turquoise, the sun was warm, the waves were crashing, the kids found "dinosaur eggs" and we all took a deep breath.

Proximity to the water always results in some of loosing their clothes.

We even went for a little stroll along the coast, here you can see how chalky the stones are turning the water white.

A little fisherman's house near the beach.

And the littlest one is awake, too. Blowing raspberries and making sounds.
Finally the boys actually went into the water.

Later in the day we went up on Porco Conero for a hike
Hunting for bugs and catching and keeping them - how many ladybugs fit into a pencil sharpener box or a fist?

 Running, running, running.

Numana - here is where I went 30 years ago with my parents and grandparents.
It got chilly once the sun started to set.

The rolling hills of Le Marche.

For dinner we headed into town, but the only place open that early (7.30pm) was a little pizza place. It turned out to be so yummy with fresh ingredients.
