We left really early to fly to Rome; my dad was so kind to take all of us to the airport, where we met the Japanese family at the gate. Nogusa really does not care for airplane rides - maybe too loud? He just cannot sleep (well).
Although we arrived early it took us a while to get our luggage and rental car, but in the early afternoon we were finally on our way. Here are some photos we took during a break near Gran Sasso.
And after lots of napping in the car we finally could say hello in a more relaxed environment.
Uncle and nephew.
"Soo big".
Getting some energy out before continuing the drive.
For dinner we headed into Portonovo where we found many fish restaurants along the beach side. Once in the restaurant "the English speaking waiter" was assigned for us, he was very kind and explained the Menu and helped us to pick and choose the fish for our dinner. It was fun and yummy. Although Akira fell asleep once his tummy was filled; and Silvan cried after realizing that he could not set the little crab in the soup free. He loves to eat fish, pretend to fish and hung, but he also pities them and likes to hunt the hunters.
